BRILLIANT BEERS
Very malty flavour with toffee notes from additional brewing sugars. Olde Trip is fermented to produce lots of pear drop and pineapple esters from the yeast. Balance to this sweetness is provided by a moderate to high bitterness and dry hop note from the Challenger and Goldings.
This fine premium ale takes its name from Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem (AD 1189) which lays claim to being England’s Oldest Inn. Carved into the sandstone rock at the foot of historic Nottingham Castle, the Inn was reputed to be a favoured resting place and ‘watering hole’ for the brave knights and their men-at-arms who rallied to the call of King Richard The Lionheart to join The Third Crusade to the Holy Land.
